Paleolithic Age
In times before agriculture, humans had to go out and kill or pick their food from nature. We lived on the basic foods for millions of years, such as animal fat and protein, nuts, berries, and certain vegetables. Because of this, we thrive on this food. Humans were healthier and more active in those days. There were no supermarkets to get food from, nor a need to take out payday loans to pay for the food. Our ancestors did not die from modern diseases like some people claim, but from being prey. Modern diseases were just not found in the bone analyses completed on the Paleolithic man.
Today
Fast forward to today, and we see many diseases that come from eating foods that do not mesh with our genetic makeup. Paleo eaters never took in grains as a part of their diet. They did not eat peanuts, potatoes and beans either. These foods, however, are a part of the modern diet thanks to the beginning of agriculture. The new foods introduced into our diets has resulted in many illnesses and diseases.
High Costs of Medical Care
The expenses of health care in today’s world have skyrocketed beyond what any reasonable individual can pay without the help of payday loans. With them, it is still too expensive. Something, besides the high prices, sinister is happening here. The more appropriate name for health care should be Sick Care. Doctors only seem to see patients as dollar signs. It is all about getting money from the prescriptions, rather than getting the patient well. Our Paleo ancestors had no need for health care, and neither would we if we ate like them.
Paleo Diet
In what is called the “Paleo Diet”, the creators have outlined the foods our ancestors used to eat. The basic food groups remain the same, though many controversies exist about the particulars of the diet. Fruits and veggies that you can eat in their raw state are safe to eat. Most vegetables, berries and most fruits are included in this. Grains, roots, beans and tubers should not be eaten as they must be cooked a long time to remove their toxic elements. Animal flesh, though most people today prefer to cook it, has been eaten raw by our ancestors. Though popular opinion says the opposite, saturated fat is good for us. Many individuals can save money on health care needs by following what our ancestors ate from many years ago. Health care payday loans can also be avoided.
